DTN COMMENTS: All is quiet in cash cattle country again this morning,
although a few bids have been renewed in parts of Kansas, but they are
still below current asking prices that are around $240-plus in the South,
but asking prices are still not established in the North. Significant
trade volume will likely be delayed until later today and/or Friday. Beef
cutouts are expected to be lower with light to moderate box movement.
According to the Export Sales Highlights Report for the period of
September 5 to September 11, beef net sales of 15,800 MT for 2025 were up

average. Increases primarily for South Korea (8,000 MT), Mexico (1,700
MT), Indonesia (1,600 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), and Taiwan (1,000 MT), were
offset by reductions for the United Kingdom (100 MT). Net sales of 400 MT
for 2026 were for Japan. Exports of 13,200 MT were up 52 percent from the
previous week and 23 percent from the prior 4-week average. The
destinations were primarily to Japan (4,000 MT), South Korea (3,200 MT),
Mexico (1,600 MT), Taiwan (1,100 MT), and Hong Kong (1,000 MT)
